Rumour Mill-Blackpool? Ade Kidding?

Blackpool want to bring in Ade Akinbiyi when the loan window opens this week.

Well thats what The Mirror believe today

They state too that Akinbiyi has been in talks with a club in Qatar.

Whether or not Blackpool really are interested in Akinbiyi remains to be seen but if they are and our local Lancashire rivals can seal the deal, there will I assume be a clause in the loan contract that prevents him playing against us, when the Clarets visit Bloomfield Road on the night of Tuesday 3rd March. If not you can bet your bottom dollar he will score against us.

It was only a few days ago that the local Kent media confirmed that Gillingham were also interested in their former player assuming they could raise the finances to bring him in on loan to the Priestfield.

Gills gaffer,Mark Stimson was quoted as saying:

'I would welcome someone like him with open arms because he's a fantastic footballer. You don't know. When the window opens for a loan deal for four weeks we would love to take him.Financially it would be way, way out of our bracket but if the chairman could pull something like that off for a month or two, then it would definitely be worth it.We haven't used a lot of the money from the Aston Villa (FA Cup) game so we are just waiting around for a crazy deal like that to happen'

How many more clubs is Ade likely to be linked with?????

Looks like the sticking point for both Gills & Pool will be his salary. This from Blackpool Gazette:BLACKPOOL are being linked with a move for Burnley frontman Ade Akinbiyi. They inquired about the out-of-favour Burnley frontman a fortnight ago but could not meet the striker's wage demands. Reports in the national press suggest Pool may have made a fresh move, but Akinbiyi would have to take a wage cut for the deal to have any chance of happening.

Blackpool link rejected by Coyle on Official Site now. Reading between the lines it sounds like Ade will be staying at least until summer

Burnley manager Owen Coyle has blocked any loan move for striker Ade Akinbiyi until the end of the season. (Daily Mirror)
