O'Dea on His Way-Says his Agent!

Celtic defender Darren O'Dea looks to be coming to Burnley on loan after the player's agent Kevin Moran confirmed this move with Setanta Sports.

'He's looking forward to going there,' said Moran.

'Gordon Strachan, the manager, says that it's important for Darren to get games in and he's more than happy to go to Burnley.

'It's very important to Darren to get games. If he can get those games at Burnley, which is a good footballing club, then all the better. If Darren goes down there, he'll play.'

Looks like our first signing during the January transfer window is about to arrive although we await confirmation on the Official Site.

This looks a good move most Celtic fans want him to stay saying he has never let them down when called apon,But we have him till the end of the season,Hopefully this will give us a much needed boost starting tomorrow,A good deal done

Aye the Celtic lads have certainly been singing his praises. Dont know what all this is about today though in the BE 'O'Dea is believed to have been given the go-ahead by Gordon Strachan to move to Turf Moor for the rest of the season. But a deal could be dependant on the recovery of John Kennedy from a knee problem, after his return from a similar loan spell at the Clarets' Championship rivals Norwich City.'

Bog off Wolves too!Celtic have given the green light for defender Darren O'Dea to join Burnley on loan. (Daily Mail) However, Wolves have joined the race to snap up O'Dea until the end of the season. (Daily Record)

I found this somewhere not sure how much is in it?Manchester United and Arsenal are both keeping tabs on Burnley pair Chris Anderson and Alex Ray–Havey. Both are keen to snap the pair up before they sign professional deals at Burnley.

What is his preferred position? Is he a right back?

Well I think we already have 2 reasonable left backs ( Jordan has definetly won me round) - and Caldwell is likely to always start at Centre back when fit and not suspended. Do we expect Darren to partner the skip with Duff at right back and Alexander mid park?

He is a central defender and loves to play there!! This looks still on the cards hopefully,A problem with contracts is stalling this he wants to come here,So we can only wait and see????

I think he just gives us options depending on injuries and suspensions in the back four. Jordan can play in the centre if need be with O'Dea on the left or vice versa. Alexander could play in holding midfield providing numerous options then for back four
