Pugh a Shaker!

Marc Pugh has signed until the end of the season for Bury after it was announced some weeks ago that he would not be getting a new contract with the Clarets

He had spent some time at Kidderminster Harriers on work experience netting once in Seven apearences. He signed for Bury after a trial period in which he scored 2 goals for their Reserves including one recently in a 3-3 draw with Chester at Radcliffe.

Marc was a prolific scorer for Burnley Youth and was being talked about in terms of a good prospect for the Club.

Marc is a local lad from Bacup and is a right sided midfielder and striker. He was with the Claret's Centre Of Excellence for a number of years before joining as an Apprentice in 2003.

He played for the reserve team towards the end of the 2002/03 season and has also represented the North-West of England team having gone to All Saints High School in Rossendale. He was named as a substitute in the first team, towards the end of the 2003/04 season raising speculation we may have another future Claret to come through the youth team structure

Lets hope the decision to let him go has been done for the right reasons and not simply to save a bit of money!

Chris Casper, son of Clarets legend Frank Casper, must be a happy man to have picked up such a promising prospect and talented player and one wonders if the signing will become permanent in the close season.

It is said that experience is a lamp by which our feet are guided . It is not acquired only at home but outside as well . We wish all well and one day he returns to prove himself that he is one of the best at the Turf .
