'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bes Foot Forward in Denmark

Clarets winger Besart Berisha has finally completed his loan move to Danish side AC Horsens after completing all the necessary paperwork today.

He will spend 6 months with the club in what will be his second spell with the struggling Danish side.During his time with Hamburg he was loaned out to AC Horsens so will be familiar with the set up there.

The 23-year old Albanian international has found it tough going at Burnley since he was signed from Hamburg for 340,000 by Steve Cotterill in the summer of 2007 after impressing in Albania's 3-1 defeat to England B at Turf Moor.

During an International game for Albania in August 2007 after scoring in a 3-0 win over Malta, he picked up an horrendous injury to his cruciate ligament that kept him out of action for the whole of Season 2007/8 and indeed he has yet to make his debut for the Clarets in a competitive game.

Clarets fans have only had brief glimpses of the player in friendly games and he did score a wonder goal in the pre-season friendly against Accrington Stanley before Owen Coyle decided to loan him out to Norwegian side, Rosenborg until the end of last year.

During his time in Norway he has scored three goals in eight appearances for Rosenborg, including two on his debut against Molde. He has also played for Albania winning four more caps this season.

He was however unable to complete the loan spell at Rosenborg, missing the last game of Rosenborg's season due to injury. He therefore returned to Burnley in early December before recuperating with his family in Berlin over Christmas.

Owen Coyle had this to say yesterday about the new loan deal to AC Horsens:

'People have got to remember that he was out for a year with a career threatening injury, so he has to get games under his belt. With all due respect, he is not going to play in front of Chris Eagles or Wade Elliott at this club at the moment, so if we could get him three or four months, playing week in and week out, then he will come back in pre-season hopefully in a good state and ready to challenge for a place.'

I assume and hope though we have an urgent recall clause in the contract just in case we are forced to sell either Eagles or Elliott in the January window!

Good luck Bes, I just hope one day we might actually see how good you are by playing for us in a competitive game or two. You seem to have done alright for Rosenborg and Albania

You just knew that was going to happen :-( Sadly i don't think that day will come, Good luck to him anyway i will still keep an eye on him

I still wonder if he would have played if Elliott and Eagles were not ahead of him. Coyle just seems to have a downer on him. I am concerned all these loans could be detrimental. Our squad is one of the smallest still already and second half season tiredness, injuries and suspensions could begin to take their toll although I assume we have recall clauses in the loan contracts

I do wonder if we will ever see him make a competive appearence in claret and blue
