Jones Extends Bantams Loan

Clarets winger Steve Jones is to remain on loan at Bradford City for another month after agreeing an extension to his deal.

He joined Bradford City on loan at the end of November 2008 and has made six league starts for the Bantams.

The 32-year old Northern Ireland international has yet to play for the Clarets this season and he certainly doesn't appear to feature in Owen Coyle's plans.

Speaking before today's confirmation of a loan extension, Coyle said:

'Jonesy probably will go out on loan. He has a couple of options, so it depends on who he would like to go on loan to.I've left him at Bradford to be training because they've asked about him again, so I didn't want to be stop-starting the lad and messing him around..He's continued to train there and I would imagine that they look the favourites to keep him until the end of January, and that would give them an opportunity of something permanent happening.'

I thought the idea was to sell some of our fringe players and get some money to bring in new faces? Everybody seems to be loan candidates at the moment, even Kiraly. All very disappointing really

I wouldn't have thought we could get any money for Gabor and Jonesy, but if Bradford are paying his full wages that can only help. Regarding Kiraly i would imagine he is on quite decent wages having got him on a free! which is probably putting most clubs coming in for him.

I agree about Kiraly - but unless we have a disaster - Kiraly isnt going to play so even if we can get a team to play a wage percentage it will help. As for Jones - Cant see anyone forking out for him when he is a free agent in the summer - how has he been doing at Bradford?
