Bad News for the Gud!

Joey Gudjonsson is definitely out of Burnley's Championship clash with Swansea this weekend according to the Offical Site

The Icelandic international midfielder came off as a precaution at Spurs in the midweek Carling Cup Semi-Final clash at White Hart Lane after feeling his hamstring.

Manager Owen Coyle speaking to the Official Site, explained the situation:

'Joey has no chance for Saturday.Hamstrings can run up to anything like six to eight weeks, but hopefully that won't be the case.Joey realised it was about to go and just couldn't carry on. Hopefully it won't be as bad as first feared, but if it is then we will just have to get on with it.That is the nature of the game and we won't moan about that'

Good luck Gud!!

Drat it! I have a soft spot for Joey. Think he is underestimated and actually if you look at our games when he aint playing we struggle!

I really think we miss Gudjonsson you know. He gets a lot of stick but we seem to do better when he plays than when he dont

So much for 'no chance for Saturday''!! ;-)

I dont have a major problem with Gud - but think he may be served better as a squad player rather than a regular starter.
