Rumour Mill-Ade Akinbiyi

The Sun report today that Ade Akinbiyi could be playing for the 12th club of his career by the end of the January window with both Blackpool and QPR reported to be interested in the well-travelled striker

Akinbiyi is now 34 and could be one player that Owen Coyle is willing to release in an effort to save money and raise cash for new players.

He is one of the top earners at the club so maybe in financial terms removing him from the payroll could benefit the club.

Ade has been a great servant to the club though but his second spell has been disappointing and so far he has only made one League start this season since re-signing two years ago from Sheffield United for a fee of £650,000.

I will miss him if he does leave and who will ever forget him scoring the equaliser in the Carling Cup against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the 69th minute this season?

Ade,Ade, Ade! Guess some times you have to let go but I have always admired Ade, especially his first spell with the club (remember Luton away?). I think some of the digs at him by a certain element have been totally disrespectful but you always get the jerks at any football club

i too would miss the big guy but if moneybags qpr can give us some decent cash for him then fair play. blackpool will be after someone to replace alan gow who has gone to wolves the same guy who said he did not want to play in the championship when we went in for him,he did well at blackpool though i would rather see jones or gabor go.

Im sorry but if you want to believe what you read in the sun your being silly. The sun has also linked us to Michael Johnson and Ronaldo will probably be next. I know our owners are rich but unfortunately they dont like to throw their money around.

Latest from Coyle on Ade:"There hasn't been anything to me directly about Ade, just through representatives. "If anything comes of it it's something we'll look at."

Ade needs to move on if at all possible. I will alsways be an admirer of Ade for his first spell and THAT goal at the bridge - but now is time to move on. Thanks Ade.
