Rumour Mill- O'Dea Season Long Loan?

Celtic's Darren O'Dea has once more
been linked strongly with a move to the Clarets on loan.

Vital Burnley recently brought you rumours of this link previously:

Rumour Mill-Darren O'Dea & Home A Loan!

However the Irish media in particular are now suggesting we are closing in on a season long loan for the the 21 year old, Republic of Ireland U-21 International centre back.

The same media reports also suggest the move could be completed in time to allow him to make a high-profile debut in Tuesday night`s Carling Cup semi-final first leg against Spurs. I will believe that though when I see it!

If this is true though and we complete the signing in time, he would be the ideal candidate to replace Steven Caldwell in the centre of the back four. Our captain is suspended for the first leg tie after picking up a red card against Doncaster Rovers over Christmas. This will be the second game of his automatic two match ban after also missing the QPR FA Cup game on Saturday.

Maybe there is something in this and it would make sense with Caldwell out of action tomorrow

celtics reserve captain recently signed a new deal so they must look at him as a good prospect for the future he is 6 foot 1 reads the game well and has an eye for the goal too pity we never had him last night but we certainly need some sort of cover for our defence i am sure mr coyle will have something up his sleave
