Remco van Der Schaaf has a Kidney problem

Remco van der Schaaf is awaiting the results of a scan on a kidney problem according to the Lancashire Telegraph.

Clarets fans have been concerned that he has not featured in the team for sometime being rarely even selected on the bench.

It was known he suffered from an illness thought to be related to a virus doing the rounds at Turf Moor, so the assumption could be there have been complications.

Remco van der Schaaf was signed by Owen Coyle in the close season during Summer 2008.

The midfielder`s only appearance was in the opening day defeat to Sheffield Wednesday although he has been named on the bench six times without playing, the last agaisnt Sheffield United at Bramhall Lane last month.

Whatever the problem, good luck with the scan and get well soon, Remco

Oh dear, doesnt sound good, hope he's OK. Certainly explains why he hasn't featured in Coyle's plans recently
