QPR v Burnley-FA Cup 3rd Round Draw

The Clarets have been given an early return to Loftus Road to play QPR in the third round of the FA Cup.

Burnley beat the West London side 2-1 just two weeks ago in the same week they knocked neighbours, Chelsea out of the Carling Cup at Stamford Bridge.

Loftus Road has been a happy hunting ground for the Clarets in recent seasons with Andrew Cole's hat-trick helping them to a 4-2 victory only last season. Ade Akinbiyi linking well with Cole up front that day also scored himself.

I cant help thinking though that this draw seems nothing more than an anti-climax after our exploits in the Carling Cup with hopefully more still to come.

Third round ties will be played on the weekend of January 3rd and 4th,

The full draw is as follows:

Portsmouth v Bristol City
Sheffield Wed v Fulham
Preston v Liverpool
Birmingham v Wolves
