Steve Jones now on loan at Bradford

Steve Jones will today sign on loan for League 2 side, Bradford City.

The 32 year old has agreed to a deal until the New Year.

He will go straight into the side against Leyton Orient in Saturday`s FA Cup clash at Valley Parade.

The Northern International has just completed a month's loan at Huddersfield Town with mixed success following the departure of former Clarets manager,Stan Ternent.

Bradford gaffer said of the deal:

"Steve is looking forward to coming and playing here and we can`t wait to have him. He`s got a good pedigree and plays mainly on the right, although he can also go up front.

"He was a bit unfortunate at Huddersfield. He started two games for Stan Ternent but then got a blister and picked up an infection from the needle that burst it.

"That ruled him out for a couple of weeks and during that time Stan left and Gerry Murphy took over. But he is a good player who will certainly be a boost for us, particularly with Omar being out.

"I must thank the two chairmen for making funds available because these are tight times at the moment. They have been very supportive in what we are trying to do."

Jones will complete the deal today which is also the loan deadline day. Bradford are currenly second in League 2 but have had significant injury problems with currently nine players on the treatment table.

Hopefully Steve will be able to help Bradford keep up their promotion challenge over the Christmas period before returning to Turf Moor in the New Year.

Wonder if we will ever see Jones in a Claret&Blue shirt again! Cant see him getting into the side even if he returns after the January window
