'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Gray is now Claret!

The strong rumours were true and Vital Burnley FC are delighted to have been first with the news that Andy Gray could well be on his way!

The Offical Site states:

'Burnley Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of Scottish international striker Andy Gray from Sunderland.

The 28-year-old joins the Clarets on an initial loan until the end of the season, when an agreed permanent three year deal will be completed'

The permanent three-year deal will come into effect for a reported £750,000.

Burnley appear to have won the battle against Preston, Leeds and Derby to sign Sunderland striker Andy Gray.

Gray had successful spells with Bradford and Sheffield United, but following his £1.1m move to the Stadium of Light in August, he scored just once in 22 appearances for the Black Cats.

Gray is expected to make his Clarets debut on Saturday afternoon at Stoke City.

Welcome aboard Andy and many thanks to the club for at last giving the fans something to cheer about in what was becoming an awful 2006!

Stay tuned to Vital Burnley FC, we may have some more news to bring you shortly, something that could amaze you if these rumours from the same source are true also!
