Jones Loan to Huddersfield

Steve Jones,31 has today joined Huddersfield Town on loan. He has signed a one month deal which could be extended. For the moment though he will remain on loan at the Galpharm Stadium until Tuesday November 25th.

The 31 year-old Northern Ireland international therefore links up with former Clarets boss Stan Ternent, the current gaffer at Huddersfield.

Owen Coyle believes the deal is in the best interest of both parties.

"Steve will be joining Huddersfield for a month initially with our best wishes," said Coyle.

"He goes there with the chance to play some games and we'll take it from there."

Jones has found it hard to get regular first team football in recent times with the Clarets and has yet to be in our sixteen this season

Ironically his move comes at a time when the Clarets have potentially four players sidelined with injury for the match against Birmingham at Turf Moor this Saturday with one player suspended! He might well have been in the sixteen for the first time!

Not sure this is good timing with possibly Duff,McDonald, Mahon and Carlisle all out injured. Jordan on a one-match suspension plus Berisha out in Norway and Alex MacDonald out in Hungary? Oh well good luck to him [Edited by turfmanphil]
