Rumour Mill-Rhys Williams (Loan)

Rumour Mill-Rhys Williams (Loan)

The Clarets have been linked with highly-rated Middlesbrough defender Rhys Williams.

The People understand the 21 year old could be coming to Turf Moor on loan.

Tranmere Rovers and Yeovil are also understood to be interested in the player.

Williams appearances for Middlesbrough could be limited this year with the arrival of Justin Hoyte.

Rhys Williams was born in Perth, Australia and could in theory represent one of four countries at International level. Australia and Wales have already shown interest but he could also play for England or India if approached. He recently played in a friendly for the Wales U-21 side against Northern Ireland U-21.

He can play either at right back or in his preferred position at centre back

Well we certainly need to so something about our shocking defence and quickly. In our last three Championship league matches against Crystal Palace last season and Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich this season, we have leaked 12 goals and scored only one!

After watching that pathetic display against Ipswich on Saturday, we have to plug the gaping holes in our defence and quickly! Dont know too much about this lad but he seems highly rated
