Solovjovs Move Looks Unlikely
Owen Coyle has revealed that talks concerning the trialist, Latvian winger Aleksandrs Solovjovs regarding a possible move to Burnley on a permanent basis have stalled
The sticking point seems to be the valuation of £400,000 put on the player by his current club, Olimps Riga
"Alexsandr obviously went back to his club and they are looking for a decent sum of money, which at his moment in time is above what we would be looking to pay.I won't say the door is closed, but we won't be doing anything imminent on that one at the moment. I think dialogue is always important and that will continue, but I just think the two clubs are at different pitches at the moment.' said Coyle speaking to the Official Site.
Solovjovs was very popular with the Clarets fans during his trial over the summer and played in three pre-season matches .
He started against Glentoran and Bradford City and also came on as a substitute against Inverness Caledonian Thistle
Owen Coyle was impressed and was keen to sign him on a permanent basis but another winger is probably not a priority area for the Clarets at the moment, especially one that is clearly being valued at too high a level at the moment.
