Duff back for Northern Ireland

BURNLEY defender Michael Duff has been recalled to the Northern Ireland squad for their game against Scotland in the Tennent's International Challenge Match on August 20.

Northern Ireland manager Nigel Worthington recalled Duff after the defender missed out on the Euro 2008 campaign due to a cruciate knee injury picked up against Crystal Palace at Turf Moor last season.

New Clarets forward Martin Paterson is also included in the international squad for the game, along with former Burnley striker Kyle Lafferty, who joined SPL giants Glasgow Rangers for over £3 million in the summer.

Full squad:

Goalkeepers:Maik Taylor (Birmingham City); Alan Mannus (Linfield).

Defenders:Chris Baird (Fulham); Aaron Hughes (Fulham); Stephen Craigan (Motherwell); Gareth McAuley (Ipswich Town); George McCartney (West Ham United); Jonathan Evans (Manchester United); Michael Duff (Burnley).

Midfielders:Steven Davis (Fulham); Keith Gillespie (Sheffield United); Michael O`Connor (Crewe Alexandra); Sammy Clingan (Norwich City); Chris Brunt (West Bromwich Albion); Dean Shiels (Hibernian).

Forwards: David Healy (Fulham); Kyle Lafferty (Rangers); Peter Thompson (Stockport County); Warren Feeney (Dundee United); Martin Paterson (Burnley).
