Bes heads out on loan

BURNLEY'S Albanian International striker Besart Berisha has this afternoon joined Rosenborg on loan until the 31st of December, when he will return to Turf Moor.

Berisha, 23, is yet to make a competitive appearance for the Clarets, following his cruciate knee injury whilst on international duty last season, an injury that forced the midfielder to drop out of Burnley's squad at Grimsby Town in the Carling Cup moments before he was to be named in the starting line up.

Owen Coyle admitted that the loan deal is the best option for both the club and the player as the Albanian tries to get back to ful fitness, he told the official website: "Bes will go on loan to Rosenborg until 31st December. This will enable him to get match games which are vital for his rehabilitation.

"He has been out for a year and is not quite ready to start in our team just now, but if he goes there he will hopefully come back on the 1st of January as a new player and ready to play a part for Burnley Football Club.

"Bes desperately needs games and this serves a purpose because with all due respect to the reserve league that will not allow him to get back to the level he was at before.

"As I said, he's been out for a year exactly and this gives him the opportunity to play at a good level by playing week in, week out and hopefully we will get a better player as a result."

Bes wowed Burnley fans at the Fraser Eagle Stadium last week, as he cooly slide through three Accrington Stanley defenders before smashing the ball home into the top corner of the goal.

Hope he gets a few games under his belt and will be around some good players. I get the feeling that he might be sold in Jan and don't think he is OC's plans. Hopefully I am wrong and time will tell.

Thought the same mate, he's showed what he can do, he's worth a shot.

We're a pessimistic bunch aren't we...that was my first thought too. My hope that he will be given a shot is based on OC's quote '...he will hopefully come back on the 1st of January as a new player and ready to play a part for Burnley Football Club...' I'd like to see him given a go in a Claret shirt...

Quite disappointed about this to be honest, I guess the gaffer knows best, but I too sense there is something not quite right about this deal and that maybe OC doesnt see Bes in his long-term plans. I hope I am wrong,at least lets see him play a few times at our level before making that decision. A sop to get Solovjovs? Lots of theories! I just wanted to see him play to be honest and FOR US!!

Weird Sunday People take on things today: Burnley are letting Albanian midfielder Besart Berisha leave to join Norwegian side Rosenborg Trondheim after a disastrous spell at Turf Moor. Berisha was signed by Steve Cotterill but had a nightmare time and boss Owen Coyle is allowing him to go - and possibly find a buyer.

Scored two goals tonight in Rosenborg BK vs. Molde FK match. Rosenborg won 3-1 with Bersiha goals after 51 and 55 minutes! FFS he must be ready to play for the Clarets, why has Coyle done this?
