Well it's about time

Well it's about time

SEASONS and seasons pass and every time, each and every paper tips the Clarets for relegation to the Coca-Cola League One, but finally a paper has give us a reasonable position!

The Times has today published it's prediction for the final Championship league table and low and behold, the Clarets are predicted a finish in the Play-Offs as finally a paper takes Burnley's signings into account.

This is what they had to say about the Clarets:

Owen Coyle, the manager, has spent the summer rebuilding his squad for an expected challenge for the play-offs this season. A failure to complete a permanent transfer for Andrew Cole, after the forward`s spell on loan from Sunderland last season, was compounded by the loss of Kyle Lafferty, the Northern Ireland international, in a £3 million move to Rangers. However, the arrival from Manchester United of Chris Eagles, the attack minded midfield player, for £1.2 million and the signing of the Scunthorpe United forward, Martin Paterson, for £1 million, have bolstered Burnley`s attacking options.

It is certainly a welcomed change as the joke paper News of the World predicted the Clarets a relegation struggle and a 21st placed finish. Every paper so far are predicting Blackpool a 24th placed finish... What a shame!

I have noticed a few encouraging comments from the media/punters recently, now all we have to do is deliver and not have too many games like the openner against Owls today!
