Coyle on Promising Trialist, Alex Solovjovs

Aleksandrs Solovjovs (above) is a Latvian Under 21 International. He currently plays for JFK Olimps Riga/ASK,a Latvian football club, playing in the top division of Latvian football.

He joined the Clarets recently on trial playing against Glentoran in East Belfast on Monday night and again tonight away to Bradford City.

Solovjovs played the first 56 minutes of the Glentoran game and was tested to the full tonight against Bradford City before being replaced by Adam Kay with just nine minutes to go.

He can play as a striker, left winger and midfielder so looks on paper at least to provide plenty of options.

Owen Coyle also seems to be impressed and the Clarets fans appear to have warmed to him already

Speaking to the official site tonight,Owen Coyle said about Solovjovs:

'He did very well and he is a young player who we think could get better. I don't think there is any doubt about that and the fans certainly seemed to like him, so we will take a look at the costings involved and then make a decision whether it is viable or not.'
