Rumour Mill-Eagles to Soar for Clarets?

Chris Eagles will be leaving Manchester United and moving to Burnley in a £1.25m deal with an official announcement tomorrow! Who says?

Well apart from strong rumours around Turf Moor, the Daily Mail too tonight!

Eagles has been out in South Africa and Nigeria playing for Manchester United on tour and scoring against Portsmouth and Kaizer Chiefs.

It would appeat that the 22-year-old Eagles has decided he will have to try another club to play regular first-team football having indicated he would be speaking to Sir Alex Ferguson this week.

That club amazingly would appear to be the Clarets, despite interest we were told from other Premier League sides and top Championship clubs.

Eagles has already held discussions with Burnley boss Owen Coyle before leaving on the tour, and according to the Daily Mail, he will now sign a three-year deal at Turf Moor for £1.25 million.

The rumour also is that he passed his medical, but Burnley were in the USA so he went with United for the pre-season tour games to keep fit etc, and because Sir Alex wanted him to stay with the Reds until after their tour of Africa. Amazing if this deal comes off afterall

Since when do Burnley have £1.2m I always thought they had been one of the poorest Championship sides. I also don't see why Eagles wishes to join Burnley has he no ambition at all?
