New Trialist playing for Clarets against Glentoran

Aleksandrs Solovjovs (above) is a Latvian Under 21 International and tonight it has been revealed, he is a trialist for the Clarets as they play Glentoran in East Belfast in the special 125th Anniversary celebrations of both clubs

The 20 year old has been named in the starting eleven. He is listed on the web as a striker, left winger and midfielder!

He currently plays for JFK Olimps Riga/ASK,a Latvian football club, playing in the top division of Latvian football.

Well if Owen Coyle replaces him from the bench (named tonight!) we will know if he gets a contract or not!!

"He was due to join up with us last week but he'd been unwell," explained Coyle. "He had a really bad chest infection, and that was the reason for him playing 55-60 minutes last night. "He acquitted himself well and put a great ball in for the first goal. "He's not fully fit as yet, so we'll try him again at Bradford tomorrow night and take it on from there. "I thought he did some nice touches last night on what was a fiery pitch. "We travel back today, he'll train with us tomorrow morning before the game at night and we'll assess it after that."
