Vital Burnley Prediction League Returns

Vital Burnley Prediction League Returns

After a trial run midway through the 2007-8 season, Vital Burnley start the new season off with a bang, relaunching the popular Prediction League game with simplified rules.

Each player now gets three points for accurately predicting the score of all our League & Cup games during 2008-9, starting with our openner away to Sheffield Wednesday on August 9th.

If however you get the score wrong but predict the right result ie a win, loss or draw then you will get one point.

We have ditched the additional points for predicting the Clarets scorers this season but you can have a go for fun.

As an additional game though this season we have also launched the Prediction League Cup

To enter the Cup you will need to go to the Cup prediction thread in our forums before the 1st of September to submit your preditions. You need to predict which teams you believe will finish in the top 3 places of the Premier League and in what order. Also predict all the teams that you believe will finish in the promotion and relegation places for each division. To give everybody an extra chance of picking up some points we are also going to predict which player will collect the Golden Boot award for each of the 4 divisions.

The scoring is as follows:

3 points for correct outright prediction.

1 point for correct team in wrong place.

1 point for correct Golden Boot winner.

To play both these games you need to go to our forums and select the Clarets Prediction League & Cup Forum

Here is a direct link:

Clarets Prediction League & Cup Forum LINK

In there, you will find all the rules and relevant threads to make your predictions

Come and have some fun & good luck!
