'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Line-Ups: Partick Thistle (a)

THE team sheets are in as Owen Coyle's Burnley continue their three game tour of Scotland on Monday evening against Partick Thistle.

Brian Jensen misses out on the team altogether, with Diego Penny making his Clarets debut with transfer listed Gabor Kiraly taking his place on the subs bench.

Stephen Jordan starts at centre back alongside Michael Duff, as Clarke Carlisle drops to the bench and skipper Steven Caldwell drops out of the team.

Alan Mahon replaces Chris McCann, while Joey Gudjonsson steps in to replace Kevin McDonald. But for me the big news this evening is that Burnley born Jay Rodriguez and Alex MacDonald are named in the starting XI.

Trialist Gatis Kalninš starts alongside Rodriguez, looking to impress manager Owen Coyle who believes the frontman can offer something different. Steve Jones replaces Robbie Blake.

BURNLEY: Penny, Alexander, Jordan, Duff, Kalvenes, Mahon, Jones, Gudjonsson, MacDonald, Rodriguez, Kalnins.

Subs: Kiraly, Elliott, Carlisle, Blake, McCann, Paterson, Akinbiyi, McDonald, Berisha, Kay.

PARTICK THISTLE: Hinchcliffe, Paton, Twaddle, McStay, Kinniburgh, Maxwell, Trialist, McKeown, McKinlay, Trialist, Chaplian,

Subs: Tuffey, Roberts, Donnelly, Harkins, Rowson, Storey, Robertson, Little.

Come on Burnley!
