Penny from Heaven at Last

Penny from Heaven at Last

Peruvian International keeper, Diego Penny has now arrived in the UK from Peru and will soon be linking up with his new team- mates.

Red tape and US visa problems prevented him joining up with the Clarets on their recent US tour.

Penny however does now have his UK work permit after a successful appeal and signed a three year contract with Burnley FC last month.

He arrived at Manchester Airport this afternoon following a long haul flight from Lima,Peru.

Diego is expected to be introduced tomorrow as the Clarets embark on their Scottish tour. The 24-year old 6ft 5 stopper, could well make his debut in our first match of the tour against Queen of the South tomorrow.

He wasn't even on the bench for the QoS game which is understandable. he must be jet lagged and tired after long-haul flight from Peru to Manchester and then coach trip up to Scotland via Turf Moor
