Red Tape costs a Penny!

Red Tape costs a Penny!

The Official site have announced that Brian Jensen will again be in goal for tonight's friendly against Minnesota Thunder and wont face any challenge for his place following the news that Diego Penny will not be meeting up with his new team mates on American soil.

No specific reason has been given other than red tape preventing the Peruvian International from obtaining the necessary US Visa to enter the country from Peru.

The Clarets trained yesterday for the first time at the National Sports Centre in Blaine, Minneapolis preparing for tonight's match against Minnesota Thunder before bringing to an end their US tour.

It is now hoped that Diego Penny will join up with the squad in Scotland at the weekend for the fixtures against Queen of the South, Partick Thistle and St Johnstone.

Looks like he might have a fight on his hands if the Beast has anything to do with it: “I don’t know much about him (Penny) other than he’s an international and he’s 24 so he’ll be a decent keeper and he’s got a lot of years ahead of him. “But when Diego comes around it’ll be a fighting game again. “We’ve always had a goalie’s union and I don’t see it being any different with Diego. We just have to get on with it and fight for our places.”
