Rumour Mill- Driver's Agent Talking with Hearts

Winger Andrew Driver's agent will have talks with Hearts today following interest from Burnley and Sheffield United according to the Daily Express.

Owen Coye has already had two failed bids turned down by Hearts for Andrew Driver and left it firmly in their court to come back to him as he was not proposing to put in a third bid.

The Daily Mail also recently suggested that Hearts were suffering from a lack of leadership with all transfers both into and out of the club being held up due to poor communication under the Vladimir Romanov regime. The Lithuania based Russian chief at Hearts had been searching for a new head coach and thus the club seemed to have taken their eye off the ball.

The latest news if true might stir things into action but it remains to be seen if the Clarets are still genuinely interested in bringing the player to Turf Moor and whether Hearts will contact Burnley FC tempting Owen Coyle to put in a third bid.

Hearts ended a seven-month search for a new gaffer when they announced this week that Csaba Laszlo, the Romanian-born coach of the Ugandan national team, would be their new manager.

New Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo has since stressed 'the importance' of keeping Andrew Driver at Tynecastle this summer suggesting the chances of Burnley bringing the winger to Turf Moor may have diminished.

So the Blades are up for him now! Dont think this one is on now but you never know

All Hearts players contracts are currently being re-negotiated to be more like performance-related-pay. So he will be offered a lower basic wage but with higher bonuses based on appearances etc. Whether Driver chooses to accept that is up to him, but you shouldn't read anything more into it than that... it doesn't (atm) change anything about his availability.

Fair point SJ, we will just have to see what comes of the talks and whether Driver & his agent feel comfortable with anything Hearts offer, if not then he will be moving but gawd knows where
