Coyle Denies Eagles Medical

Clarets gaffer Owen Coyle has strongly denied that a medical for Manchester United's Chris Eagles has taken place at Turf Moor

Reports, widely reported in the media including the local papers, Burnley Express and Lancashire Telegraph had believed that the 22-year-old midfielder was about to sign for the Clarets and could soon be flying out to the US to join the Burnley FC US Tour.

Coyle however told BBC Radio Lancashire:

'There's nothing to update anyone on.

'Some of the stories are in advance of what they should be. When we make signings, I make statements.'

'All I would say is I deal in facts. Some of the stuff yesterday wasn't factual

It would appear however that Owen Coyle is still looking to bring new players to Turf Moor to add to the five already brought in this Summer:
'I'm not going to be banding names about because it doesn't serve any purpose. Suffice to say we are still looking to improve the squad and that's where we are, said Coyle

'I've got interest in a host of players so it would be remiss of me to starting mentioning individuals. All I would say is I deal in facts. Some of the stuff yesterday wasn't factual.

It would however appear that we might be facing a few quiet days on the transfer front until the US Tour is over and the Clarets return to the UK if the words of Owen Coyle echo true:

'Given that we are in America it's probably physically impossible to do anything for the next few days. But, we will continue to try to bring the best players to Burnley Football Club'

I just get the feeling all transfer business is being frozen until they get back from the US tour. Just hope that we dont miss out on someone although in these days of modern communications it should still be possible to do deals no matter where you are in the World.
