Rumour Mill-Adam Hammill Loan

Rumour Mill-Adam Hammill Loan

Liverpool winger Adam Hammill looks set to go out on another loan following talks with Rafa Benitez.

Hammill has just returned from a season-long loan at Southampton but Benitez has reassured the 20-year old that he figures in his long-term plans at Liverpool.

Sky Sports believe a number of clubs both in England and Scotland have the player on their radars.

Championship new boys, Swansea have been strongly linked following their failure to sign Liverpool team-mate Paul Anderson.

Plymouth, Sheffield United, Blackpool and Burnley are also mentioned by Sky Sports.

SPL side Aberdeen are also believed to be interested following an impressive performance during a loan spell at Dunfermline in 2007.

The highly rated,Hammill came through Liverpool's Youth Academy and is sometimes described as a creative midfielder. He can play on either wing preferably on the left wing, or in 'the hole' behind the striker.

Sounds a useful lad to have around, but if we are after Eagles, surely he would be surplus to requirements, so perhaps he is a contingency?

Nothing wrong with having a young midfield utility player as back up for injuries/suspensions. We look to have a strong 11 especially if Eagles signs, but still require a bit of depth. Hopefully some defenders will come in.

We certainly need defenders based on the Cary U-23 performance, although Kalvenes didnt play. What the hell has happened to Alexander? Im sure he used to be better than this. We need a new back in my opinion, so Duff can become a regular centre back with Carlisle. Caldwell needs to improve, but he is official captain at moment, so that could be a selection headache. Last chance saloon for Jordan too this season!
