Another job missed for Cotterill

Another job missed for Cotterill

FORMER Burnley manager Steve Cotterill has received a further knock back with news that he hasn't been successful in applying for the Milton Keynes Dons manager job.

Cotterill who left Turf Moor in November 2007 following a 2-0 defeat to Hull City has been turned down on a number of occasions now after applying for numerous jobs including the Preston North End job that was going at the same time he left Burnley.

He is understood to have applied for the MK Dons job after Paul Ince left to join Blackburn Rovers but he, former Leicester gaffer Ian Holloway and 40 other applications were snubbed as the club opted to go with former Chelsea defender Roberto Di Matteo.

Maybe next time Steve?
