Rumour Mill-In for a Penny...?

Burnley are believed to be close to completing a deal for a Peru international goalkeeper according to the Lancashire Telegraph

It is thought this might be Diego Penny.



The 6ft 5 tall, 24-year-old keeper captained Coronel Bolognesi to the 2007 Peruvian Primera Division Clausura title for the first time in the club's history.The Lima born keeper, has played for just the one club side to date and has regularly been capped by the Peru National team

The local paper believes a Club fax has been sent to South America for the player's registration.A work permit will be required for the player and this could be the only issue holding the deal up although there is no word from the club nor any indication of length of contract should the signing be completed
