Another Bid Turned Down-Kevin McDonald

The Clarets have had another bid for yet another player in a Scottish team turned down.

This time its a £250k bid for Dundee midfielder Kevin McDonald

Dundee Chairman Bob Brannan told BBC Sport:

'We have refused an offer which does not meet our valuation.

'We do not want to rush into anything. The deadline for transfers is three months away and we will not be rushed into doing bad busines.'

A number of other clubs are understood to be interested in the Scotland Under-21 midfielder

Celtic and Everton were interested in the player last season, and now West Brom, Plymouth and Crystal Palace are also believed to be in the chasing pack.

The Dundee gaffer Alex Rae is quoted as saying

'He will not be going cheaply.

'If we cannot get the fee he is worth, he'll be staying at Dens.'

The 18-year old was born in Carnoustie, Scotland and Dundee has been his only professional club to date.A £75,000 bid from Celtic in June 2006 was rejected by Dundee.

On a positive note, we are looking at what I call the right players. We have lacked youth, energy and pace for a while now. The players we have showed interest in all seem to have these qualities.

West Brom mentioned again as keen to sign him.probably front runners if true
