Coyle showing some Iron over Paterson



Clarets gaffer Owen Coyle has made an improved offer for Scunthorpe United striker Martin Paterson according to the Official Site.The 21-year-old Northern Ireland international was confirmed as a Clarets target two weeks ago when it is understood a bid of £400,000 was turned down by the Iron.

'Suffice to say we have moved things on with different people. A couple of things have progressed, said Coyle

'We have made an improved offer for Martin Paterson, and we await Scunthorpe's reply.'

Wish we could put this one to bed and sign him. If we dont,it will look like another Coyle failure and he needs to get a signing under his belt before suspicions grow

Their fans think 650k would do it. Lets hope we get him and don't pay over the odds, but if we keep offering low amounts other clubs will get them from under our nose.
