'If It's Football, It's Vital'

At The Cole Face!

Andrew Cole was released by Sunderland last Thursday, and Clarets fans await news as to whether Owen Coyle can tempt the 36-year old striker to join the Clarets on a permanent basis following his largely successful loan spell last season.

This is the latest comment from the gaffer on the situation:

'Andrew Cole has had a break, but he's back now and I'll be looking to have a chat and see what happens from there.

'We haven't had extensive dialogue yet, but we'll see what we can do and look at the finances, because that obviously comes into it.'

It is understood,Coyle held preliminary talks with Andrew Cole's agent over the weekend.
