Robinson: Expect selection shocks

Burnley Fans v Bury A
IFA Football League
Saturday 12th April 2008
Towneley Park, k.o. 10:30am

THE BURNLEY Fans Team welcome Bury 'A' to Towneley this weekend, looking to complete successive victories over The Bury Fans Team, which is split in to an 'A' and a 'B' team due to the number of applicants.

Kev Robinson's Burnley boys travelled to Bury last weekend to take on Bury A's understudies, the B team and came away with all the points following an emphatic 6-2 victory.

Steven Wynne, Richard Davies, Lee Maher and a Tom Henderson hat-trick sealed all of the points, with four of the goals coming in the second period with the first half ending with an equal 2-2 scoreline.

Phil Berry is expected to return to the starting XI after missing the trip last weekend through other commitments as did Ged Isherwood, who will also return. Youngster Martyn Robinson will again miss out though due to a niggling ankle injury sustained in training.

"I think we can look at Preston for inspiration rather than last week's game." Admitted gaffer Kevin Robinson speaking exclusively to Vital Burnley Football ahead of the clash.

"Preston are a team of similar stature and we need to keep a level of performance similar to that game."

The young Rhydian-compared manager refused to comment about his team selection stating that although there are going to be one or two shocks to the starting line-up, he wasn't prepared to tell what the changes would be.
