Evans Above, No Show!

Evans Above, No Show!

Clarets fans were beginning to get excited about the rumoured move of striker-come left winger, Sean Evans from Manchester United to Burnley. The 21-year old had impressed in Manchester United's reserve team but had still to make his full debut for the Red Devils. It was understood his contract would not be renewed in the Summer.

Press speculation suggested the striker would feature on trial in last night's reserve game at Accrington Stanley against Carlisle.

The bad news for Clarets fans is that he didnt show up, so it looks like another rumour bites the dust unless the interest was correct but the trial game rumour was false.

The reserves also lost 1-0 last night thus bringing their recent run of form to an end.

There was however one new face: A Mr Beasant in goal.

No not that one!! Dave's nephew, James!!

The keeper was being trialled by the Clarets and we will provide more details in our next article.
