Cole Bailed out of Trouble

Cole Bailed out of Trouble

It will be a relief for Clarets fans to hear that Andrew Cole will not face any further action over allegations that he assaulted his wife.

Our striker on loan from Sunderland was arrested on 25 February this year at his house in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, on suspicion of assaulting his wife,Shirley.

The pair have been married since July 2002

He was due to answer bail today.

A Cheshire Police spokesman however has confirmed that the player did not now need to go through this legal process since no further action would now be taken.

Well done, Andrew must be a weight off your mind and a great relief to all at the club.
