'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rumour Mill-Sean Evans Part 2

The Daily Star today says that the Clarets are ready to pounce for Manchester Unitied striker, Sean Evans.

It is understood the 21-year old will be allowed to leave Old Trafford when his United contract expires in June.

Vital Burnley earlier in the week brought you the news of our interest when it was widely mentioned in the media that the player could be trialled in a Clarets reserve match at Accrington Stanley's ground tomorrow night against Carlisle.

The Ludlow-born player still has to make his debut for United but he has made a great impression in the Manchester United Reserves and in addition to playing as an out-and-out striker can also play on the wide left, something that may be of particulat interest to Clarets gaffer, Owen Coyle.

I suppose we will have Bes on left next season but this lad sounds a good bet and gives us options up front

Sadly looks like it was all idle gossip, no sign of Evans in last night's reserve game
