Coyle may Plaster with New Filler
Clarets gaffer, Owen Coyle looks keen to add some new faces to the team as soon as possible following a spate of poor performances and defensive errors in recent matches; the latest being the manner of our defeat away to local rivals, Preston on Saturday.
He may even take the opportunity to strengthen the side before the loan window closes on Thursday to try and keep our slim play-off chances alive.
'Coming into the club as we did, we'd seen there was problems - that's why we got the job,' he said.
'We tried to paper over the cracks, and to an extent we did that and kept ourselves up there challenging.
'But we know what's needed, there's no getting away from that.
'I've identified what we need to progress and develop the club, and come the fourth Thursday - or the summer definitely - then we'll do that and take the club onto the levels that we're looking for on a consistent basis."
Thursday is the deadline for the loan market.
One area of weakness at the moment appears to be in goal. Both Gabor Kiraly and Brian Jensen have made costly blunders in recent matches and Coyle might be tempted to bring in a new loan keeper before the season ends to keep them both on their toes.
Coyle was linked with 20-year-old Newcastle goalkeeper Fraser Forster in the Sunday Papers over the weekend, although the keeper has still to make his first team debut for the Magpies.
