'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Laffs Worthy of International Squad

Northern Ireland gaffer, Nigel Worthington has selected Kyle Lafferty for the squad preparing for a friendly against Georgia at Windsor Park on 26th March.

There is however no place for either Steve Jones or Michael Duff. This however would be expected since both are currently recovering from injury. Michael Duff has only just started playing football again after cruciate ligament damage making a number of appearances for the Clarets in the Reserves. He last played for the first team back in September 2007.

Steve Jones has been sidelined for some months, and was last named in the Clarets sixteen for a game against Coventry City at the Ricoh back in January this year. He came on for the last 9 minutes of that match replacing Ade Akinbiyi but has not played since after picking up an injury.

Owd Steve Jones doesnt even get a mention these days, wonder if his injury is more serious than first thought or if not whether something else is going on. Not even Crewe managed to get him on loan
