Tom's Law on Referees

Tom's Law on Referees

This weekend`s referee is Jarnail Singh from Middlesex.

So far this season he has refereed 7 championship games, including Norwich vs. Preston and Ipswich vs. Scunthorpe. He has booked 71 players and has shown 2 players red cards. He last refereed the Clarets last season when we beat Luton 2-0 away.

There are no bad reviews of him and, from what I`ve seen of him he is a good referee.

Thanks for the review, tomlaw. If I recall in that Luton match, the game was held up for a few minutes whilst they sorted out a problem with a broken corner flag. It was also the night that he sent off Stephen Foster but I think he generally had a good game and as you say we did win thanks to an Andy Gray brace. No doubt the crowd will be ribbing him again with chants of 'Monty Panesar' since he is rather a dead ringer for him!

Thnaks for the review tomlaw, looks and sounds a right character this one, but at least technically a decent one

According to Phil Bird on Clarets World, the ref was having a stinker and lost control of the game, he gave us nothing. Thankfully he only gave Elliott a yellow card though after a red looked possible
